I started off wanting to save trees, to be a National Geographic photographer and a Russian literature translator, so I studied Forest Engineering while maintaining the habit of reading and writing. In Forestry, I specialised in Recovery of Degraded Land, and I always did my best to bring the “people” as a key aspect to ensure success in any forestry project, so I adopt systemic approach to it.
I worked as a professional writer and translator for a couple of years as well, which brought me closer to the digital product design world. As pandemic hit and a lot of us had to adapt, I started studying Product Design, Service Design and User Experience Design. With these new skills, I co-created Palmtech, a community-based and human centered designed start-up based in Brazilian Amazon area that has as goals to tackle climate change and promote social justice.
I moved to Europe in 2020. Before settling in Finland, I lived in Ireland and Italy. I also have finished a degree in Software Engineering and multiple trainings in Machine Learning, as it was part of my research in Palmtech.
I’m currently taking an MBA in Data Science and Analytics for Business and my intention is to find opportunities to expand on the ethical use of AI for Forestry Industry and Environment to solve long-standing operational and planning problems.
I also love to travel, learn languages, read, cats and crochet.
